The Winter Droving may not be returning to Penrith this year, but we don't want the day to disappear with it. So we're doing our bit — one proper communal feast at Favilla, built around live fire and the atmosphere that makes the weekend so special.
To start
House breads with smoked butter, whipped harissa butter and chimichurri.
Pork belly bites with sticky Chinese-style BBQ sauce and toasted sesame seeds.
Blistered padrón peppers with sherry vinegar glaze.
Cumbrian halloumi with hot honey dip.
The feast
Pulled 12-hour asado-style lamb.
Served with smoked butter mash potatoes, charred hispi cabbage, hot honey carrots and chimichurri sauce.
A separately priced dessert menu will be available on the day.
